  • Details and specifications of the solar panels and inverters. You can get this from your chosen vendor, who will install the system.

Site Photographs After Installation

  • Photos of the site post installation of the solar panels.

Grid Clearance/Net Meter Installation Certificate

  • Certificate issued by DISCOM after installing the net meter.

Joint Inspection Report

  • Report signed by both the applicant and DISCOM after the inspection.

Step-by-Step Application Process

  1. Registration on the Portal
    • Visit the official PM Surya Ghar portal
    • Select your state and your electricity distribution company (DISCOM)
    • Enter your electricity consumer number, mobile number, and email address
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the registration
  2. Login
    • Log in to the portal using your consumer number and mobile number
  3. Filling the Application Form
    • Once logged in, access the application form for the rooftop solar system
    • Provide details about your electricity consumption, roof size, and other relevant information

  4. Feasibility Approval
    • Submit the application and wait for feasibility approval from your DISCOM

    • The DISCOM will inspect the installation and install the net meter
    • Once the inspection is complete, a commissioning certificate will be generated on the portal​
  8. Subsidy Disbursement
    • After obtaining the commissioning report, submit your bank account details and a cancelled cheque through the portal
    • The subsidy amount will be credited to your bank account within 30 days​
